Good day, It is pass monday and I am finally getting to write my last blog to you this after finishing the paper work for the end of the year.
We will be having free hot dogs and ice cream on Wed., compliments of our local Credit Union.
Fri. we will be selling Fries for lunch to raise money for the breakfast program of next year.
The children will be allowed each an order with the possibility of two ,supplies depending.
Children will be bring lots of items home, if they have too much paper or crayons I am sure the l near by kindergarden or YMCA or Salvation Army can use them.
We are going to work a little, and have fun for the next three days.
I have given your child a map to my cottage so if you are in the area, please drop in.
These few months with your children have been just a delight.I love the age these children are at. Still very innocent and so eager and full of life.
There is no more homework as such but it will be in your hands for the summer. I would suggest that you have a reading time with your child for the summer. There are so many times and places in the summer for your child to learn, use them and have fun.
Have a great Summer.bye!

Good evening. I have just come home from the school, as yoou well know there are not enough hours in the day.
This week at Greenfield:
Tues. 1:10 we walk to the school "École Sur Mer". This trip is to introduce the students to the french library. Hopefully the students living near can visit it during the summer. They will also inform the students about their summer programs. It is a great method to continue their french in the summer.
Thurs. Many of the girls in the choir will be going to Wedgewood Manor in the afternoon.
Fri. Our year-end play date at Cabot Park. Fun,Fun Fun! Remember hats and sunscreen.
In between that we are finishing the work we have started and doing some work that will be placed in a folder for the next year's teacher . We will not have many idle moments.
The words for this week are the verbs "avoir"- to have and the verb "être"- to be. These will be worked on this weeek and next. We will be using them in sentences, over and over again.
Have a great week.

We are counting the days. In our gathering circle each morning I could give them a difficult math question . How many days left of school? 175-143=??. now it is getting too easy.
We are concluding our work in between the activities that are going on:
Last Friday we saw a lot of talent from our class in the talent show of grades 1&2.
This Friday we will be enjoying the talent show of Grades 3,4,5 and 6. No pressure this week.
On Thurs: The choir is going to the Wedgewood manor, walking via the Trail.
We have a speaker at 1:30 informing us of the activities at the French Libraries this summer. We also are expecting a visit from Mme. MacLeod and Pacey.
As you can see we need to work hard in between our fun.
We are into an ant farm this week in science and Language arts.
We are into writing our good copy of "My Perfect Summer Day"
In Math we are continuing to perfect our speed in addition and subtraction of numbers 1-20.
Dictée words for the week are: une fleur,la classe, plus, bleu,la plage, le sable, il glisse, une plante.
We will also be working on Liste 27 -the verbs "avoir, etre" for the rest of the year. This will be done more in sentence form rather than in memorization.
Have a great week and run out if you see the sun.
